1st Lt. Shelby DePriest
FORT CARSON, Colo. — Meet 1st Lt. Shelby DePriest, the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson Soldier of the Week. DePriest serves as the assistant operations officer with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armor Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Div. She was the only female to complete the coveted Expert Infantry Badge testing and the first woman to earn the special skills badge in the division. DePriest stands among 27 Soldiers from the brigade and 34 service members across central command to earn the badge. DePriest embodies the image of the “READY” Ivy Soldier. Steadfast and Loyal!
