

SKOPJE, Macedonia — Staff Sgt. Damen McDermott teaches a young Macedonian child about the Mark VII optics, a military grade tactical optics system, before a hands-on demonstration in Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, April 4, 2018. McDermott and other Soldiers with 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, and their Polish counterparts supporting NATO’s Kosovo Force, commemorated the founding of NATO by providing static displays for the NATO Day celebration. Equipment displayed included a Humvee, Honker 2000 (Polish military vehicle), various optics and communications equipment, and protective gear.
